Employee time tracking for field-service teams

Bring technician hours back to the office without turning the day into a trail of text messages.

Make the workday easier to reconstruct

A service technician may leave for an urgent call, return for parts and finish after the office closes. Time records need to explain the shift without requiring the office to reconstruct it from appointment times.

A simple workflow for your team

Employees use their own sign-in to clock in, record breaks and clock out. The manager checks incomplete entries and reviews completed hours. Employees can see their recent records, so a question about a shift can start with the same information.

Be clear about the pilot’s limits

Appointment duration and employee worked time are not necessarily identical. Establish a consistent process for travel, parts collection, training and other duties with your payroll adviser. The pilot is not a dispatch, route-optimization or service-invoicing system.

A low-risk way to try it

Start with a complete sample day: clock-in, a recorded break, clock-out, manager review and a worked-hours export. Check employee access on the phones your team actually uses.

Questions from small teams

How big a team is this for?

Gates Timekeeping is focused on companies with up to 30 employees. Start your evaluation with a smaller group and use sample records.

Will I need a new payroll provider?

No. The pilot produces a worked-hours CSV for review in your existing payroll process. It is not a direct vendor integration.

What does the pilot cost?

Early access is free with no payment card. Planned paid tiers are listed separately on the pricing page; no automatic charge is enabled.
