Pay attention to your business.
Not another complicated subscription.
A low monthly price is only part of value. You also need a time clock people can use, a review step you trust and hours you can take with you.
- Start with devices your team already uses.
- Keep employee hours and manager review in one place.
- Export records without switching payroll providers.
- Compare the total cost—not just a headline price.
What does your time clock really cost?
1. The bill. Count base fees, employee fees, location fees and the features you actually need.
2. The admin. Consider time spent collecting, correcting and checking hours—not just the subscription.
3. The handoff. Open the export and confirm it fits your payroll process before you commit.
Work through your own numbers →A better routine for your kind of team.
Built for owners and managers who do not have a separate HR department to handle every timesheet question.
Cleaning companies
Recurring clients, changing crews, and hours that need to reach the office.
See your workflow →Landscaping crews
Morning starts, mobile teams, breaks and end-of-day cleanup.
See your workflow →Field service

See your workflow →Events & hospitality

See your workflow →A routine your team can follow.

Create your company and individual employee accounts. Start with a few people and a sample workday.

Employees use the browser clock. Managers review incomplete entries, breaks and correction questions.

Free tools. No email gate.
Check a time card, compare a software quote or grab a printable timesheet. Useful resources for the person doing the work.
Start time. End time.
Breaks. Done.
Add your daily times, see the weekly total and export a CSV. Calculations stay in your browser; no account required.

What does Gates Timekeeping cost?
The current early-access pilot is free, with no payment card or automatic paid conversion. Proposed launch plans are Starter at $15/month for up to 10 employees and Team at $35/month for up to 30. Final paid availability will be announced before charging.
Is it a basic clock or a full timekeeping workflow?
The core pilot includes individual employee clock-ins, recorded unpaid breaks, recent employee hours, manager review, corrections, approval and a worked-hours CSV. It does not replace payroll processing or claim that every roadmap feature is available.
Does it work on Android and iPhone?
Yes, through the internet-connected browser clock. Employees can add a home-screen shortcut. Native app-store releases are not published; use the browser for the current Gates pilot.
Can we keep our payroll provider?
Yes. Gates provides reviewed time records and a generic worked-hours CSV. Your payroll provider applies the appropriate wage rules and handles payroll. Check its import requirements separately.
Can I try it before making a buying decision?
Use the sample demo and free tools without an account, or create a free company pilot. Evaluate sample records alongside your existing process before relying on it for payroll.
Keep the tools.
Lose the unnecessary overhead.
Try Gates Timekeeping with your team. No card to start. No payroll-provider switch. A practical workflow for your next workday.
